The New Zealand Police Information and Communications Technology Service Centre ICTSC) are seeking to appoint an Senior Applications Support Analyst, based at the Royal New Zealand Police College, Porirua.
The Police ICT Service Centre is here to save police officers time, enhance their safety and contribute to making New Zealand a safer community. To prevent crime and crashes, Police needs information delivered to the front line that is reliable and able to be accessed anywhere, anytime. Making this happen is the daily work of our people in the ICT Service Centre. With our operational colleagues and partners we create world leading solutions in mobile, computer aided dispatch, intelligence, networks and security. We are looking for people that have the technical expertise but most importantly share our vision for innovation, partnerships and being part of a positive work environment.
This role is responsible for:
Providing 2nd and 3rd level technical and functional leadership acros all levels of support for designated applications
Providing management of support and business knowledge appropriate to designated applications.
Providing professional, customer focused Application Support that is service-based, aligned with current IT industry best practices and meets Application Service Level Requirements as agreed with the business.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:
Extensive experience and knowledge of supporting applications across a large organisation.
Substantial experience and knowledge of working in a 2nd and 3rd level application support role, with proven ability to lead enterprise application issues through a problem management process to work around solution.
Ability to write technical documentation clearly and precisely.
Experience in Time Keeping and Scheduling
Experience in administration of a rostering solution
Strong Microsoft SQL data analysis skills
XML knowledge and ability to investigate SOAP integration issues
Experience in the following are desired:
Kronos V7/V8 in relation to WIM and patching service packs
Knowledge of Javascript in relation to SOAP messaging and database access
Microsoft Visual Studio RDL experience.
ICT use the SFIA Level 6 Skills Framework. In submission of your application, experience in the following SFIA skillsets must be demonstrated:
Application Support (ASUP) - Level 4
Incident management (USUP) - Level 4
Change Management (CHMG) - Level 3
Problem Management (PBMG) - Level 4
Quality Management (QUMG) - Level 4
