About the role:
This large, private hospital based in central Auckland is looking for a FT Team Lead-Anaesthetics. This could be an amazing opportunity for an experienced AT or an RNAA looking to step in to a management position and would suit someone that loves a balance between people and clinical management. You will be helping lead a team of 9 AT's and RNAAs which will grow as of 2025, working across lists running Mon-Sat with the occasional Sunday. You will support the Charge Manager with the day to day operations and be the clinical expert and go to operational person.

What you have to do: Help lead and supervise a team of 9 fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
Be the operational go to person and clinical expert who will lead and support the AT and RNAA team
Operational duties including resourcing both staff and equipment
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Provide mentorship and support to staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement
Maintain compliance with established protocols, standards, and regulations
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Skills and Experience: Current registration and APC with the NZNC or NZ MSC
At least 3 years' experience in Anaesthetics in NZ or a comparable hospital setting and leadership experience is preferred
A credible people person, leading by example and passionate about building a positive and supportive team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong judgement with great clinical reasoning and logical problem solving skills
