About the Role
This is a full-time position with an awesome team based in Northland, who are offering flexibility to work in either their Whangarei or Dargaville clinic, as well as in-community! We are seeking fresh NZ-trained junior or NZ/international intermediate or senior physiotherapists who are experienced in neuro physiotherapy. The salary is negotiable for all candidates and is based on clinical experience and education. This is a great role that won't leave you sitting within the four walls of a room all day every day, you will have the opportunity to work across the community and in our client's lovely clinic(s).

Role Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with neurological conditions or injuries, evaluating movement patterns, strength, coordination, balance, and functional abilities
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals, utilizing hands-on therapy techniques, exercises, and functional activities
Provide hands-on therapy including manual techniques, neurodevelopmental approaches, and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation to facilitate movement and improve muscle control
Prescribe and guide patients through personalized exercise programs aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
Educate patients and caregivers on their condition, treatment plan, and strategies for managing symptoms, including home exercise programs
Monitor patient progress closely, adjust treatment plans as needed, and reassess functional abilities to ensure optimal outcomes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to individuals with neurological injuries covered by ACC
Emphasize functional rehabilitation, focusing on activities and exercises to improve daily functioning and participation in meaningful activities
Set realistic rehabilitation goals with clients, track progress over time, and advocate for clients' needs throughout the rehabilitation process
The Successful Applicant Will be
Either a NZ trained Entry, Junior or Intermediate Physiotherapist
Or a Senior Overseas Physiotherapist with extensive experience and a great understanding of NZ culture
To Progress to Interview Stage you MUST Have: Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand
A current Annual Practicing Certificate
An understanding of the New Zealand ACC System
