The Solutions Architect provides the link between strategy and execution, by establishing a set of current, transitional and future state architectures and roadmaps which are responsive to the current and future business requirements of the Ministry. You will be thought leaders in the development of the Enterprise Architecture Framework and associated models, viewpoints and reference architectures that span the four Enterprise Architecture domains of Business, Application, Information and Infrastructure. As an Architect in our expanding architecture team you will be working with our diverse base of clients to develop designs and frameworks for smooth and effective integration. You will work closely alongside development teams, providing technical leadership, ensuring delivery meets customer requirements and fits the technology roadmap and environment. You will have: • Preferably 10+ years IT industry experience with specific technical architecture experience in large and/or complex environments, however three to five years architecture experience would be considered at a junior level.• Experience of enabling the delivery of business change/development through facilitation of solutions, within large scale, complex programmes across multiple stakeholders• Practical experience in the successful development and implementation of architecture frameworks that enable transformational outcomes• Demonstrated knowledge of architectural approaches and methodologies that span business, application, information and infrastructure domains• Knowledge of IT controls and governance procedures including technology risk assessment and mitigation strategies• Broad knowledge of and experience within Microsoft software products, strategies and offerings• Broad knowledge and experience in Microsoft Azure, VMWare, Hybrid Cloud models and Virtual network, and Microsoft Core Technologies The role is based in Wellington.
