How you'll make an impact We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Payroll Specialist to join our NZ HRP department at TMF Group. As a senior member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing the relationship with our local and global clients, project manage and carry out the on-boarding of new clients, along with providing assistance and support to the junior and intermediate specialists in the team. The payroll department works in a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for a motivated professional who will bring with them their energy and vast payroll knowledge. What you'll do Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader for New Zealand, you'll play a key role in our business by: Onboarding / migrating new clients onto the EasiPay (Datacom) software Processing and reviewing client payrolls according to client and legislative requirements Supporting the junior and intermediate specialists with system and payroll knowledge Develop and maintain strong client relationships by assisting with client queries Deliver ad hoc payroll-related project tasks for our colleagues based all over the world What you'll bring To be successful in this role, you have had (or want to) experience working in a professional services environment. You will be someone who can work under pressure and with tight deadlines. Your excellent communication skills will ensure you can solve problems, mitigate issues, and handle clients skilfully. General computer skills, including Microsoft Office products and Outlook, are essential to the role. The ability to learn new types of software for internal purposes is a must. Professional Qualifications The Senior Payroll Specialist should be a subject matter expert in New Zealand payroll legislation and processing, and will ideally have: 2 – 3 years of experience in a payroll processing, consulting and/or implementation role Previous experience using the Datacom Datapay/Easipay software A strong understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation, including the Holidays Act 2003 Excellent customer service skills, through both written and verbal communication Intermediate MS Excel and Office Suite skills A great attitude, with ability to work both independently and as part of a team What we offer Here at TMF are flexible with our working arrangements - a hybrid operating model is in place that offers work-from-home options, as well as reasonably adjustable working hours to work around your lifestyle.
