Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity Project Whakatupuranga is the project to redevelop the Nelson hospital and future-proof it for decades to come. Currently in its early phases, this project aims not only to construct new facilities but also to modernize the hospital's digital infrastructure and applications. Digital technology is a key enabler of health facilities which contain thousands of highly interconnected devices and interfaced/integrated applications to serve patients needs, capture medical information and enable the health facility to operate effectively and efficiently. As a Senior IT Business Analyst , you will join the Digital stream of Project Whakatupuranga. You will support and at times lead the early digital design activities, understanding the needs of the hospital and its patients and support shaping the programme of work that will define the hospitals digital future. Mou | About you We are looking for someone that can hit the ground running, is highly collaborative and thrives when working as a partner with local staff, other Project team members and national and/or regional Data & Digital colleagues. You need to be great at documenting requirements and working with user groups, and deeply interested in the hospital environment, its ways-of-working and how the use of digital tools will improve the environment for the staff who work there and improve outcomes for the patients we care for. As the IT Senior Business Analyst, you will be the first on the ground, laying the foundation for what will become a wider team of digital experts delivering outcomes for Project Whakatupuranga. This is a 12 month fixed term contract (or Secondment opportunity) and ideally, we are seeking candidates located in Nelson who can contribute directly to the success of the project. Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experience * Experience writing business and technical requirements documents including analysing and documenting requirements to ensure clarity and accuracy. * Holding workshops and working across stakeholders on complex and high-level business requirements that involve intricate systems. * Creating comprehensive documentation for requirements, design, and other project aspects. * Generating regular reports to update stakeholders on project progress. * Demonstrates a proven commitment to, and ability of, working in self-directed teams, and as part of a wider Team of Teams to achieve group/team objectives and outcomes. * Assessing the impact of changes on existing systems and processes. * Identifying opportunities for business process improvement on a larger scale and driving initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency. * Providing guidance, mentoring, and training to junior analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge. * Ensures adherence to organizational governance policies and procedures.
