Starbucks New Zealand has recently been acquired by a small group of highly experienced business owners and our small team is working towards providing exceptional support to our Starbucks global partner, our board and the 22 stores we currently operate. To help us set this team up for success, we need you to be able to:
get stuck into projects with the intention to seek ways to improve the way things are done
work closely in supporting and handing over day to day items and/or projects to the accounts assistant
be accustomed to working to deadlines
show previous accounting experience - CA or CPA
have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
evidenced analytical skills
have previous New Zealand experience in a similar role
work autonomously
using Xero and working in retail will be very welcome but not required
As our Senior Accountant you will be involved in:
supporting the production of accurate and timely monthly financials
balance sheet reconciliations
journals
process FBT, GST and other Government compliance returns
maintaining the fixed assets register
assisting with cash flow forecasts and management
providing financial information, reports and analysis to management, and interpreting the implications for business performance
assist with the annual statutory accounts and external review process
