Position Summary Our Sales Engineer will possess strong communication, organizational skills and technical knowledge to partner with our sales and sales engineering consultants in the Asia Pacific region on presale's activities. You will have strong product knowledge to enable you to increase sales in your accounts / territories by understanding customer's requirements. We are looking for an outstanding communicator with strong presentation skills to present product capabilities & benefits at client meetings, and draft winning technical sales proposals. In this position, you will be responsible for pre-sale activities in the assigned territory based from our Auckland office, reporting into the Sales Engineering Leader, for Asia Pacific. Responsibilities Position is a quota-carrying role with responsibility for working with customers and prospects for NCR Voyix Omni-commerce and Loyalty software platforms, Store Transformation, Self-service, and services within the Asia Pacific region. Create or assist with the development of technical account plans and sales proposals for assigned opportunities. Execute on established plans to prevent post-sales issues that can impact time to revenue. Build and maintain relationships with assigned account team members. When channel-facing, establish peer-level relationship with partner sales engineers. Actively maintain technical knowledge across multiple products and solutions while developing more in-depth expertise in a specific area or solution specialization. Acts in a professional manner with high ethical standards of performance and behavior at all times; Creates trust and confidence in himself / herself with the customer and NCR Voyix Provide thought leadership and specific solution / industry consulting and sales support to field account teams for major solution opportunities. Provide Horizontal end-to-end solution / architecture support focus around pre-defined sets of technical and business solutions. Set brand preference and for the transfer of industry, technical, and product knowledge to our SEs, partners, and customers. Assist in defining solution guidelines and solution requirements within retail customers. Understand and articulate NCR's Voyix Solutions and related Architectures and Services Identify, develop and conduct in-depth and high-level solution presentations for customers, partners and prospects. Lead discovery activities to understand customer or partner business requirements and translate them into technical requirements. Create, present and document moderately complex technical solutions. Coordinate and deliver demos, trials, proofs-of-concepts and post-sales diagnostic support to customers. Continually gather product requirements and submit feedback into Retail Product Management team / s to drive Area or Operation and prioritizing business requirements and trends that are emerging that we need to solve for Be the industry voice of the customer Build relationships and partner actively with Sales, Product Management, Software and Technology Engineering groups. Have an area of specialization and potential multiple areas Technical / Business Knowledge Comfortable operating in a cross-functional matrixed management environment Relevant industry experience and in-depth industry knowledge in the appropriate market segment(s). Have precise detailed knowledge of relevant solutions sets, solution or related architecture specifications, performance criteria and applications. Clearly understand customer business requirements and the industry Enterprise solution / technical solutions that are available or can be created to address those requirements. Thorough competitive knowledge in area of specialization(s), including solution. Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Thorough understanding of corporate Product Management, Software and Technology Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales Operations capabilities and limitations. Skills Required Superior written and verbal communication skills, negotiation, good listening and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively, adds value as a team member, and assumes a leadership role for the team. Demonstrated superior technical knowledge and consultative skills, including a sound understand of distributed architectures, cloud and containerization technologies and virtualisation. Ability to understand complex business requirements, technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources. Ability to understand customer business cases / identify value to the customer's value change with NCR's products and solutions. Ability to work on strategic projects / accounts. Qualifications required : Education Typically requires BS / BA (EE / CS) or equivalent; MS / MBA a plus5+ years related Pre-Sales experience. Competitive product experience required.
