As a hungry and dedicated Sales Consultant you will have a focus on seeking out new business, applying more efficient and profitable solutions and promoting Layher's extensive product range. You will be confident to break down barriers and open new doors in order to obtain and grow business in an untapped market. The role is primarily responsible for generating new business across the Northern Region Taupo to Kaitaia and including Gisborne as well as South Auckland with the potential to expand into the Auckland area. There is also an existing customer base that requires ongoing account management. Your key duties will see you Identify new leads and contribute to growing the customer base Meet with clients to drive sales opportunities and be the face of the brand Follow up on leads and ensure opportunities are fully investigated and maximised Work strategically to source, target and close deals Provide quotes on partial or full product range Complete ongoing account management and relationship management Manage and record all activity, forecast and pipeline Build trust and credibility with customers by demonstrating sound brand and product knowledge Attend industry events, and promote product through effective marketing You will liaise regularly with the in-house engineering team, helping to design and quote services that meet customers' requirements whether they be big or small, and have the confidence to provide consultative advice where required. To be successful you'll need to bring with you a proven track-record of generating new revenue growth through effective B2B technical sales, and a background in construction / engineering and / or a technical qualification would be highly beneficial.
