BestStart Whangaparaoa is an early learning centre located in Arkles Bay. Licensed for 125 tamariki aged 3months - 6 years old, we believe in incorporating the local community and environment into our learning. Excursions are a significant part of our centre and we believe in the importance of providing children with real-life experiences within the community and utilising our close amenities.About the Role: An exciting opportunity has come about for a new centre Cook to join our busy team at BestStart Whangaparaoa. We are searching for someone who can provide fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals for our children each day. Whether you are a newly qualified or experienced chef, or you have experience working in a commercial kitchen, if you have a passion for providing meals for young children, we want to hear from you. Our ideal applicant will be someone friendly, vibrant and fun! Our centre kitchen is in the middle of the hallway, so you will need to be warm and engaging as our centre whanau love to stop and chat!As our Centre Cook you will plan, prepare and cook an appetising and culturally varied menu for the children, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. You'll need to be efficient with your time and have an excellent knowledge of foods that promote good nutrition and healthy eating for our children.
