Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Are you looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a research assistant to join our team in Engineering Science. You will assist in course management, helping with events and communications and also helping with the field trips for the incoming ASEAN and African short-term courses in Renewal Energy and Geothermal Project Management.
Some other responsibilities of the role include:
Running and developing geothermal reservoir models for examples in the course content. Conduct surveys of participants to understand and improve the courses. Geothermal reservoir modelling work examples and training material. Chairing sessions where external trainers are speaking and managing questions from the participants, particularly where there is a technical and/or language barrier. This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on a 9-month contract. The salary range for this role is $56,600 - $70,600 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications . He korero mou | About you Our suitable candidate will meet these requirements:
Masters in an engineering field or equivalent. Experience in renewable energy in general. Experience creating and running TOUGH2 geothermal models and documenting their results. Good communication skills, both written and spoken. Deep technical knowledge of geothermal and energy sector. Fluent in one additional ASEAN language beyond English.
