About the role: As a paediatric ward nurse, you'll play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care for our paediatric patients.

What you have to do: Provide direct nursing care to paediatric patients, including assessing their medical conditions, administering medications, and performing treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and evaluate patient progress, identifying any changes in condition and collaborating with the healthcare team to adjust care plans accordingly.
Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to actively participate in their care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to regulatory standards.
Foster a safe and nurturing environment for patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing emotional support as needed.
Skills and Experience: Registered with New Zealand Nursing Council with a current APC
Previous experience in a paediatric ward or similar setting is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, demonstrating patience, kindness, and understanding.
