They have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse and Social Worker to join their team.
Registered Nurse:
Assessing the needs of each individual client, you will seek to support, enable and work with them towards the achievement of their goals and provide comprehensive clinical assessments and intervention plans. You will nurture long term, trusting relationships with clients and their whanau and provide full wrap around packages of care specific to their individual needs.
This position requires the individual to have strong professional ethics and a holistic approached that is client centered, and strengths based.
Skills, experience and competencies for this role are to include;
RNZCGP clinical registration – with a current practising certificate.
2-3 years of nursing experience.
A high cultural competence and ability to use tikanga Maori in daily work practice.
Knowledge of relevant mental health legislation and of the Strengths Model.
Understanding and experience in NZ community work.
Experience of recovery perspectives and the skills to work in a recovery focused way.
Available to enter into shift patterns of support work.
Compassion, motivation and an aptitude which pushes you to exceed.
Registered Social Worker:
Support is provided individually, as a ‘wrap-around’ service or ‘package of care’. Managing individual relationships and caseload effectively, you will have the clinical expertise to recognise early warning signs and potential safety concerns and take appropriate action. Leading the development of the first needs assessment and goal plans alongside a support worker, you will develop effective and approachable relationships with clients and their families, delivering social work interventions that that have a focus on client’s strengths.
Skills, experience and competencies for this role are to include;
Registration with NZ SWRB and current annual practicing certificate.
An ability to use tikanga Maori in daily work practice and apply a bicultural lens to all you do.
2+ year’s experience within mental health or social community services.
Working knowledge of the Strengths Model.
Ability to engage in shift patterns of work.
Experience in NZ community.
Familiarity of relevant mental health legislation.
A confident networker with ability to build and utilise resources.
Accurate and timely documentation skills.
A full, clean NZ drivers’ licence.
An agile thinker, with knowledge of recovery perspective and skills to work in a recovery focused service. Culturally competent with the ability to use tikanga Maori in daily work practice, you will be looking to join a kaupapa Maori Service based organisation which operates within the foundations of wrap around whanau ways of working.
