How will you make an impact?
From co-leading the Auckland Biomanufacturing production team to complete the day to day manufacturing activities safely and in conformance with standard operating procedures, and cGMP/ISO principles on time and within budgets. The Production Supervisor is responsible for raw material availability, conversion to finished products and timely supply to meet customer quality and lead time expectations and business operational targets.

What will you do?
Lead and report on BMU deliverables and objectives.
Maintain synergy with the co-supervisor and assure cohesive communication and transparent reporting lines for the teams including UVC production, freeze drying, specialty products, filtered sera and new product introductions.
On-going development of the manufacturing team through coaching and skills development to support achievement of objectives, personal development and change management.
Coordinate workload and workflow of required tasks across the manufacturing team including shift work and 24/5 production as required.
Take a hands on and team approach to completion of required tasks and hold team members accountable for performance.
Support and maintain compliance to ISO9001, regulatory requirements and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
Support and contribute to our quality systems including change controls, deviations, customer audits and notifications, SOP and BMR updates.
Develop, report and deliver on manufacturing metrics.
Train others in manufacturing systems and documentation.
Champion and contribute to process improvement and PPI teams to advance customer allegiance, quality, cost, and productivity gains.
Drive ownership and empowerment through the manufacturing team to ensure high levels of engagement and morale.
Champion our safety culture by ensuring employee accountability and that safe work practices, conduct proactive hazard identification and report any accidents, incidents and near misses. Promote the use of hazard identifications within BMU.

How will you get here?
EducationTertiary science qualification.

ExperienceExperience working in a cGMP/ISO environment in a manufacturing role.
Experience with and high level of understanding of ISO9001 quality systems and principles.
Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, quality and inventory systems.
Experience in leadership and team development.
Experience and understanding of sterile filtration and aseptic (cleanroom) manufacturing processes, freeze drying and biological’s production preferred.
