Job Description
Working as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 4 you will be responsible to carry out pharmaceutical duties under the direction of the lead pharmacy technician according to hospital procedure in order to ensure a high quality pharmacy service throughout the hospital.
This is apermanentposition working 37.5 hours per week.The attractive and competitive salary for this role is between £26,641 – £29,601 and will be dependent upon skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
Perform work in line with hospital protocols and standardsParticipate in multi-disciplinary team work, helping to create and maintain effective working relationshipsKeep all dispensing work stations clean and tidy at all times and well stocked with ancillaries and PILs to ensure smooth running of the department according to Dispensary Task rotaDispense inpatient, outpatient and consultant prescriptions according to hospital policies and proceduresFill stock orders for the wards and theatres according to hospital protocol and to use the Meditech Computer System for stock transfer and chargingParticipate in the ward top up system according to hospital protocolCheck expiry dates and stock holding on the floors/ departments on a regular basisReceive and check goods against delivery notes and put stock away to ensure stock rotationSkills & Experience
2 years’ experience preferably hospital based.ACT and/or MMT accreditationGood spoken and written English.Hospital and Pharmacy Department Procedures.To be able to use own initiativeAbility to prioritiseGood team work both within the department and throughout the hospitalUsing initiative to improve work processes through the correct channelsAbout The Individual
