Our HR Function supports and FTE of ~300 employees who work across a variety of unique roles. We also provide corporate services support to companies in our Group of subsidiaries and associates. 
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Generalist with a passion for organisational development to join our team. 
The role would suit a professional with proven experience as an OD Specialist who enjoys working collaboratively within a small team. Our HR Function sits across a diverse breadth of people centric strategies, delivering valued outcomes for our business from industrial relations to leadership development, and everything in between. 
The primary objective of this role is to partner with the Group Human Resources Manager to deliver the Port's Learning and Development strategy. This will include designing and delivering a comprehensive framework for our people leaders to ensure individuals have the skills and training they require to fulfil their roles. 
Our expectation is that you will:
Work alongside our managers to ensure they effectively assess, track and monitor compliance obligations to meet business needs; Collaborate with all functions to ensure organisational development initiatives align with organisational goals; Build the culture and the capabilities of the organisation to meet current and future strategic requirements; Lead from the front in setting examples of best practice business partnership, collaboration and communication; and Assist with day-to-day HR initiatives to support the Corporate Services Team.  This is a full-time position with the option to work at both our Mount and Tauranga sites, and from home occasionally. 
To be successful in your application, you will be:
Passionate about developing people and teams; Experienced in developing training materials and using instructional design software and tools; A proven collaborator, confident to work across organisational boundaries; Motivated by continuous improvement and committed to staying updated on industry trends; Friendly and approachable with a good sense of humour; and Strongly focused on health, safety and the environment. The successful candidate will be asked to demonstrate their experience to meet these criteria. Exposure to an industrial or operational industry would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite for the position. 
Port of Tauranga is a drug and alcohol free workplace. The successful applicant will be required to pass a drug and alcohol test and background checks.
