This regulatory regime has meant Chorus must report on revenues and costs associated with a component of the business.This is a pivotal role that will understand the drivers of regulatory numbers ( e.g. geographic drivers etc ) and be able to produce insightful performance reporting against our allowances.You will play a key part in supporting the planning and performance reporting processes and meeting our regulatory obligations . In addition, the role will provide insight and analysis on cost drivers, scenario modelling and support the finance teams to understand the regulatory output relevant to their functional unit.Reporting to the Regulatory Performance Manager, your re s ponsibilities include:Planning & performance reporting process ;Collat ing both actual and forecast inputs from the business such as cost allocation inputs and other material assumptions which feed into the regulatory modelling process ;Run ning the regulatory modelling steps for each iteration of the business & regulatory planning cycles as well as monthly to generate performance reporting outputs ;Reconcil ing inputs against source and test outputs against expectations ;Complet ing analysis to identify drivers of variances compared to Regulatory Capex and Opex allowances ;Liais ing with the finance and investment teams to provide insightful commentary on variances ;Understand ing and communicat ing impacts of changes to underlying inputs, complete sensitivity analysis on input assumptions.Support ing finance and investment teams to understand the regulatory outcomes based on actual and planning assumptions and inputs.To be successful in this role, you will have had a few years of experience as a management accountant . W ith a good working knowledge in financial accounting , you will have likely provided financial planning and analysis as part of your role. Your experience in financial modelling and business partnering will b e the key to your success in this role.We use SAP Finance Systems, however, if you've not been exposed to this, we can help support you with this development .We look for capability and welcome and embrace endless potential.
