The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the Brisbane offices Commercial Litigation team, headed by Mylton Burns & Andrew Orr on a 6 month, full time fixed term contract.
As an integral part of this team, the successful candidate will be involved in the day to day administration of files and assisting producers, when workloads permit, in all aspects of work.
Core duties and responsibilities of the role include:
All forms of client correspondence including high level dictation;
Amending documents;
Collating briefs;
End of month billing; and
General administrative duties of the division such as diary and file management e.g. filing, bring ups, opening and archiving files.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following:
A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a legal secretarial position;
12 months previous experience working in commercial litigation is seen as advantageous;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
A typing speed of 60-65 words per minute;
A self-motivated and team player attitude;
A high level of motivation and enthusiasm; and
A high level of organisation, focus and attention to detail, together with the capacity to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously.
Experience or familiarity with Practice Evolve, Microsoft Office Suite, and iManage will also be highly regarded.
