This newly established position presents an opportunity for you to work closely with the General Counsel,to provideessential legal advice and guidance crucial to the day-to-day operations of the business. In years to come, it could be the role that you will look back on…and you will be grateful that you applied. Key Responsibilities: Partner closely with the General Counsel. Assist and support. Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the business on a wide range of legal issues, including corporate law, commercial law, contract law and regulatory compliance, related to the company's strategic and operational activities. Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks and develop strategies to minimise potential liabilities. Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements. Advise on, review, negotiate, and draft a variety of legal agreements, including sale and purchase agreements, service agreements and intra-group arrangements. Facilitate quick and efficient processing and sign-off of these agreements. Assist with managing relationships with external counsel and legal business partners. Engage and liaise with internal stakeholders regarding service levels and experience to assist them navigating any challenges with external legal services. Conduct legal research, monitor legal developments, and analyse the impact on the business's operations. Assist with legal due diligence for potential acquisitions, and partnerships, assessing legal risks and providing recommendations. Provide support to the legal enforcement team within the business. Collaborate with internal teams, to provide legal support, training, and guidance on legal matters impacting various business functions. A lawyer with approximately 2 years' experience, eager to join an inhouse team. Prior experience in M&A, finance, and/or general corporate/commercial law will be viewed favorably. Possess an open-minded approachand ability to work with a diverse range of people. Demonstrates intelligence, drive, and a willingness to learn and grow. A problem solver, with the ability to think on your feet. Strong drafting, analytical, and interpretation skills Have a keen eye for detail, a results-driven mindset, and a commitment to deliver high quality work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain and simplify complexity. Enthusiasm for building relationships across the business.
