Land Transport Manager - Central Hawke's Bay District Council This is a genuine legacy leadership opportunity for those experts in roading and land transport engineering. As Land Transport Manager for Central Hawke's Bay District Council (CHBDC) you will be the owner of the land transport and roading assets for CHBDC. Your core focus and function will be to create a sustainable asset and contract management structure for roading and land transport. You will be leading a team and driving the direction, knowledge and understanding of the road asset conditions, and will be assuring accountability of the expenditure, financials and the relationships with the Councils' main contractors. To be successful here you will need a strong base of land transport and roading expertise. Experience in a Council setting or in a consulting environment will be important here. You must be able to understand the NZTA and local government funding and relationship interface. And you will have the experience that it takes to manage the conflict and pressures that often sit between key funders, Councils and community expectations.
