We are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join our wider Infrastructure Finance team in this permanent located in Wellington.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, Infrastructure - the Infrastructure Senior Management Accountant will work with the Management Accounting team, various business unit support teams, and the financial control teams to capture, classify, and process all the business transactions into accurate, timely, and relevant financial information.
With an in-depth knowledge of the business unit activities combined with thorough understanding of the operational and financial targets the Senior Management Accountant is positioned to provide insightful financial advice and support to business unit management.
What you'll do Monthly OPEX Reporting and analysis of business activities Taking a lead role collaboratively with business owners in the preparation of annual budget and periodic forecasts Providing assistance and support to business units to build their understanding of financial information and underlying finance systems Providing high quality and timely analytical support for projects and strategic initiatives Monthly Cashflow Forecasting to Treasury Team Finance Review and Approval of RNIP Change Requests Monthly RNIP CAPEX Reporting Response to Corporate Finance and Insurance Team request for information Regular Reviews of AUC (Assets Under Construction) Account with Corp Finance Working collaboratively with RNIP Delivery Team and Asset Management Team on RNIP issues (RNIP is the 10 Year Rail Network Investment Programme – Funding Agreement) Developing effective business partnerships which demonstrate a clear understanding of the business, key cost and revenue drivers, business, and financial performance indicators Continuously identifying and implementing opportunities for improving, integrating, streamlining, and sharing processes and/or service delivery Monthly sense check reviews of the RNIP CAPEX forecast submission infrastructure Balance Sheet Management and full engagement with Audit NZ at six month and full year audit time Work collaboratively with other Infrastructure Management and Senior Management Accountants to peer review and exchange learnings, development opportunities What you'll need Commerce Degree 5+ years experience in a corporate environment Problem solving skills and abilities Highly organised and able to work collaboratively Identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities while managing conflicting demands Experience using ERP Software such as SAP, Oracle or PeopleSolf What you'll get Excellent salary package Discounted health insurance for you and the whanau A fantastic team culture A diverse, energetic workplace Ongoing training and development Why KiwiRail?
