0.15 FTE - 6 Hours per week

Our Medical Ward in Dunedin Hospital is looking for a part-time Health Care Assistant to work alongside our teams of nurses on a permanent basis.
Under the direction of the Senior nurse on shift you will help with discharge, transferring and admission of patients to the ward. You will assist nurses as directed with patient cares, including feeding patients, whilst also undertaking reception duties as required, for example, answering phones. You'll also ensure the ward is kept tidy and ward consumables are restocked each shift.
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are dynamic, friendly and demonstrate a high level of initiative and who wish to join a service that is supportive, friendly, committed to high standards of practice and supports on-going professional development.
You will be required to work every Monday 9am - 1pm and every second Sunday 5pm - 9pm.
