Role model behaviours aligned to the bank's desired culture, good customer outcomes, the ANZ Behaviours, and consistently exhibit leadership qualities which create an environment that encourages staff to raise any issues of concern. Act as the Guardian of the Bank's Balance Sheet and reputation to promote maximum effective utilisation of Assets, Liabilities, Income and Expenses as they relate to the Institutional business unit's Relationship Management activities. Optimise and support the Institutional Portfolio with a focus on the credit risk and return trade-off. Oversee the management of credit-related regulatory compliance obligations and help determine responses to be in line with the set risk and tolerance levels. Simplify processes and policies to improve speed to market and decision-making quality. Provide technical support and guidance to Relationship Managers, Loan Product and Risk teams from other segments. Develop strong working relationships and networks across ANZ NZ & ANZ Group. Act as a conduit for the establishment and management of ANZ Group Credit Risk policy & strategy in ANZ NZ Ou Pukenga? | What will you bring?   To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following: Proven experience working at a strategic risk management level providing sound, authoritative advice, and recommendations to executive management. Demonstrated experience in developing risk management strategies with an understanding of the interactions of credit and market risks for customers and the bank. Resource, Energy & Infrastructure (REI) and Project Finance experience and expertise would be highly advantageous. Proven experience in financial markets, risk management strategies and business issues, a deep understanding of market products and matching these products to customers. Proven strategic agility and business acumen, with a strong track record of achieving excellence. Ability to set clear achievable goals, meet deadlines, and challenge existing processes and procedures. Pragmatic problem-solving skills and excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multi-dimensional relationships and to influence and challenge at all levels, including the New Zealand Leadership team. You're not expected to have 100% of these skills but a willingness to learn them is critical.
