Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in SingaporeJob description:Job PurposeThe Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think-tank in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.IPS is looking to hire, on a two-year contract, an Executive for its Events team. This close-knit and dedicated team is responsible for running all IPS events, which serve as a platform to communicate research findings to the broader public in Singapore.Job Description• Coordinating, administering, and managing a wide range of conferences and other events; ensuring the management, researchers and administration staff work closely for the success of the Institute's events.• Handling all aspects of event management. This includes planning, budgeting, liaising with speakers and partners, booking venues, arranging participant registration, preparing conference materials, managing event secretariats, overseeing the event on-site or online, and conducting post-event follow-ups.• Assisting in general administrative duties such as answering the main line, maintaining the Institute's database for event registration, and any ad-hoc duties assigned.Qualifications• Have at least a Bachelor's degree in relevant Business Administration discipline from a reputable university• Preferably with two years' working experience or has experience in event organisation.
