Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in SingaporeJob description:Job Purpose The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think-tank in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.IPS is looking to hire an Executive for its Donor Engagement team. The main responsibilities of the Executive are to assist with event management and coordination, administrative work, and donor relations.Job Description • Coordinating, administering and managing donor engagement events and activities. This includes all aspects such as event planning, budgeting, liaising with speakers, booking venues, managing events on-site, handling participant registration, preparing EDMs and other materials, and post-project follow-ups.• Performing administrative tasks such as updating donor records, preparing financial statements, maintaining the Institute's database used in the invitation of participants for events.• Supporting the donor acquisition process for fundraising efforts. This involves assisting with researching and identifying prospective donors; sending out and following up on appeals; and processing the gifts received. It also involves the process of renewing support from existing donors.• Assisting the stewardship function of building and maintaining good, close relationships with donors. This involves creating and managing touch points with donors, such as setting up and coordinating meetings with them.• Helping with the copy-editing of reports for donors and IPS stakeholders.• Any other ad hoc duties assigned.Qualifications • Have at least a Bachelor's degree, preferably majoring in the Arts or Social Sciences, Mass Communications, or Business Administration.• Preferably have two years' working experience. Fresh graduates with a keen interest in events management, donor relations and fundraising may also apply.• Be motivated, able to work under pressure and possess good interpersonal skills.• Be able to work both independently and as a team to meet tight deadlines.• Have a strong command of both written and spoken English.• Be methodical and organised.• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, preferably with a very good working knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel.• Preferably possess basic HTML knowledge.To Apply Please upload your cover letter and curriculum vitae via NUS Career Page.Your CV should include details such as your highest qualifications, last drawn salary, expected salary and reasons for leaving your last/current position.
