Library Services & Information Management (Education & Training) Full time Total Annual Remuneration $76,100 - $84,600 We are currently seeking a Digital Programmes Specialist to join our Programmes team at Te Ao Marama - Tauranga City Libraries. This is an exciting opportunity to: Empower the community to navigate through the digital age. Join a team with community at the heart of everything they do. Combine your passion for learning with your digital skill set to design and deliver programmes to improve digital literacy in Tauranga Moana. As a Digital Programmes Specialist, you will empower, enrich, and elevate Tauranga Moana by cultivating a space for digital learning and growth through a variety of programmes, workshops, presentations, and interactions. You will work with a wide range of people and groups and be responsible for delivering a responsive service which fits the needs of the community. Your mahi will involve: Planning, coordinating, and delivering a variety of digital offerings, including one-to-one digital help sessions, small group classes, tech workshops, holiday programmes, and outreach presentations. Look for opportunities where Te Ao Marama - Tauranga City Libraries can work with external stakeholders to deliver meaningful digital learning to Tauranga Moana. Establish and nurture networks within the community which Te Ao Marama - Tauranga City Libraries can support through digital learning. Deliver responsive digital training to library staff when needed. Work with the wider Programmes team on larger community programmes and campaigns. The role is primarily Monday to Friday, however regular weekend and after hours work to meet programming needs is expected. Nga Pukenga I What you'll need to succeed Connection is the key to success in this role. You must enjoy talking with people, guiding them to work through their digital challenges, and helping them to gain the skills they will need for future success. You will have a strong desire to share your digital knowledge to create positive outcomes for the community in the digital space. Ideal candidate will have: Relevant Tertiary Qualification eg. Bachelor of Education, Library Studies, Computer Science, Maori Studies, Arts or equivalent experience Ability to relay technical information to customers in a manner that is easily understood and empowering. Awareness of Te reo me ona tikanga Maori with the desire to further your knowledge. A curiosity to discover and learn new technologies and platforms and share learning with others. Strong digital literacy skills across multiple platforms. Knowledge of different coding platforms would be advantageous but not essential. Event/programme and lesson planning, coordinating and delivery experience. Experience working with a variety of community groups, including youth, underrepresented groups and adults. Confident, professional and adaptive communication skills. Experience developing and leveraging external stakeholder relationships. Current Full Driver's License.
