Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services) FMG are looking for a Compliance Specialist to join our small, close-knit Compliance team, based in either our Wellington, Christchurch or Palmerston North office, with future flexible working from home options available. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, your responsibilities will include (alongside the wider Compliance team) – Administering FMG's compliance functions including working alongside leaders across the Mutual to ensure we adhere to compliance requirements Developing and executing processes to assist with the identifying, measuring and management of compliance obligations and risks in relation to legislative, regulatory and industry code requirements Reporting, monitoring and providing recommendations on improvements to internal controls and business processes To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, has a high attention to detail, with strong analytic skills, has the ability to juggle multiple priorities and build & maintain proactive relationships. You ideally will also have experience in the compliance and regulatory space – and experience in insurance would be the cherry on top, but if you have the right attitude and mindset, we can teach you 'insurance' – the important thing, is that you understand the importance of finding the balance between client and Mutual outcomes.
