In this role you'll be part of Compliance and Enforcement team that spearheads our regulatory response both at an agency and system-wide level.As a Compliance Officer, you will be promoting, monitoring and investigating compliance by businesses and organisations with the Privacy Act 2020 as part of the Commissioner's Regulatory Compliance Action Framework.On an average day, you'll be reviewing notifications about breaches or assessing privacy risks in organisations, and taking actions ranging from education to advice, monitoring, investigation, auditing, and enforcement.This is a role that allows you to make a real difference to the privacy outcomes for New Zealanders.
