Cloud Engineer x 2 roles
Permanent, full time (80 hours per fortnight) | Wellington based role

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, this role will focus on supporting enterprise cloud capabilities and solutions for all cloud service types; IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. The Engineer will collaborate within ICT Operations Team and the relevant business units during design and development phases, providing guidance, interpretation, and engineering expertise. They will need to be keenly aware of cloud computing industry trends with regards to technology and adoption while also being proficient in the understanding of and application of various automation related tools and languages.
Full accountabilities of the role are outlined in the attached job description.
To be successful, you must have:
2+ years' experience in IT platform, storage, networking, and virtualisation engineering
2+ years of experience working with cloud architecture in Azure or AWS
Practical experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, trends and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings
Practical experience supporting, building, and automating solutions utilizing AWS Services
Configuration and deployment experience in two or more of the following: Azure PaaS technologies, Azure apps technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Tables, Cache, SQL Server DW, Azure AD etc., Azure IaaS Technologies such as VMs, Virtual networks, Express Routes, Standard/Premium storage etc.
Working with cloud automation tools and Microsoft SCCM
Experience supporting O365 Hybrid environment, including support for Single Sign on, Dirsync/AAD Sync, Sharepoint, Skype for Business/Teams and on-premises AD and Microsoft Exchange.
Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, OAuth, AD/Azure AD etc.
Experience in one or more automation languages, Application development & debugging experience (PowerShell, Python, C#, OpenSource)
Experience deploying web and service-based applications in Windows/Linux environments
Experience with monitoring tools, such as Application Insights, Microsoft Operations
Certificates and SSL management
Understanding of firewalls, NAT and packet filtering required
Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, and load balancing
Demonstrates strong customer service awareness and orientation
Legal entitlement to live and work in New Zealand
Ability to pass a Ministry of Justice check
