Class 5 Metro Driver - Tauranga

An opportunity has become available to appoint an experienced Class 5 Metro Driver / Second in Charge Supervisor to service the Tauranga area. The run will be day-work, Monday to Friday. We are after a Driver with the following skills and experience: Prior driving experience at a Class 5 Level. A current Class 5 Drivers Licence with a Dangerous Goods Licence endorsement. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within the freight and transport industry. Robust knowledge of freight operations/contract management including, planning, reporting, performance monitoring and evaluating. Demonstrated a capability to build high performing teams from both an operational and health and safety perspective. Knowledge of the New Zealand Loading Code. A current forklift operator certificate would be advantageous. Experience within the New Zealand domestic transport Industry. Conscientious, hardworking and reliable. Strong communication skills. A positive work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile. Demonstrated an ability to work well within a team. Awareness and a demonstrated commitment to current health and safety requirements.
