We have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for a Principal Advisor that is experienced in the machinery of government to work in the System Performance Monitoring team.
The System Performance Monitoring team has overall responsibility for the monitoring work programme at Te Puni Kokiri in its legislated role to monitor and liaise with public service agencies to ensure the adequacy of services provided to Maori.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Advisor to lead and contribute to the development and delivery of the monitoring work programme. This role also requires excellent oral and written communications about how relevant data for Maori demonstrates the strength or weakness of the system's performance for whanau.

We are seeking someone with a high level of experience with policy development and machinery of government. You will have the ability to build, maintain and enhance strategic relationships within Te Puni Kokiri, and externally with other agencies and entities. You will have a proven ability to lead complex cross-government policy development and implementation programmes and to lead relevant people working on the programmes.
Some experience in planning and performance reporting, is preferred for this role but is not a requirement.
