About the role
As the Youth Engagement Advisor (YEA) you will be working in our Community Engagement team to provide support to the Youth Advocate Programme, developing and implementing the metrics against which the programme will be measured and providing support to our youth advocates to ensure a consistent approach to delivering the programme. You will be involved in supporting all aspects of the programme from recruitment and onboarding of youth advocates to providing regular support and advice to coordinating youth advocate events. Alongside your excellent communication, social media and technical skills, you will also have outstanding relationship management and influencing skills.

In this role you will:
deliver support to the regional youth advocate programmes
coordinate events and opportunities for youth advocates to connect regularly throughout the campaign
assist with the recruitment/on-boarding of youth advocates
assist with moderating youth content, and provide advice
design and implement an appropriate measurement framework for the youth advocates programme
assist with youth appropriate initiatives for implementation at a regional level

To be successful in this role you will have:
Qualifications and technical skills:
Good understanding of how youth work, and comfort in building and maintaining effective working relationships with youth
Demonstrated leadership skills, preferably with youth or young people
Proven relationship and influencing skills
Good ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
Experience and knowledge profile:
A good understanding of how frameworks are developed, and proven ability in developing performance metrics
Confidence in using a variety of technologies and software applications
Able to confidently communicate with a range of individuals as well as large groups, through conversation, presentations, activities and other interactive means
Able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines while remaining composed and demonstrate a positive attitude at all times
