About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Projects Asia Pacific, your role as aWind Turbine Managerwill see you assume responsibility for all aspects of the wind turbine delivery for Senvion 3XM and Eco Blade Control platform. This pivotal role ensures compliance with project schedule and supports the effective resolution of challenges that may come with a large turbine that is entering serial production for the first time and into the Australian market.
The scope of this role includes Wind Energy Converter development, configuration, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, tooling, transportation, erection, local regulatory compliance assessment, Mechanical and Electrical completion, commissioning, punch listing and any non-conformance reporting throughout the project life-cycle.
As theWind Turbine Manageryou will also be responsible for ensuring the involvement of necessary Senvion team members based at our Head Office in Hamburg, Germany. This includes all conforming to regulatory requirements, scheduling and arranging all necessary Wind Turbine Generator experts and designers to be at Australian sites to support the prompt resolution of any technical issues.
You will interface regularly with Senvions Engineering, Project Delivery, Procurement, Finance teams, our Customers and Subcontractors along with electricity market operators and other regulatory bodies as required.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity that will see you involved in cutting edge Australian wind projects utilising the latest turbine technology new to Australia.
Your role will see you travel to wind farm sites within Australia with occasional international travel as required.
What you will ideally bring:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
An Undergraduate Degree inElectricalorMechanical Engineeringor equivalent;
Extensive experience in a similar wind turbine engineering role with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM);
Extensive experience in Wind Energy Converter design, delivery and non-conformance reporting;
Demonstrated project management experience with complex large scale wind farm construction projects;
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills coupled with demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex information;
Knowledge and application of PMBoK principles;
Engineering technical knowledge in civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines; and,
Sound knowledge of regulatory regimes.
