Kitchenhands

Wongkok Cafe & Bar in Central Auckland is looking for 3 late night shift kitchenhands to join us. Please be awarded that you will need to work on late night shift up to 3 AM This is a full time permanent position, working 30-40 hours per week on roster (minimum 30 hours guarantee). We open 7 days a week to late, please be aware that you may need to work on nights, weekends and public holidays. You will need to assist kitchen and service staff in preparing and serving food, and clean food preparation and service areas. Your duties will include: • cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas and sculleries • cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants • transferring, weighing and checking supplies and equipment • assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking • packing food and beverage trays for serving • cooking, toasting and heating simple food items • any other duty that may be assigned by the owner There is no requirement of work experience or qualification; we provide basic training when you start the job. However, skill/experience/knowledge/qualification in preparing and cooking Chinese food will be an advantage.  You should have can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
