Trimble is recruiting a Web UI Architect to fill an opportunity in Christchurch, New Zealand .
VirtualSite Solutions is a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar responsible for the development of Web and Mobile telematics software solutions for the construction industry. The joint venture is located in Westminster, CO with additional locations in New Zealand and Chennai India.
Job Summary
You will be a member of cross-functional team focused on the client tier. The Web UI Architect is responsible for working with a wide variety of project teams. Success in this position involves working effectively with the application domain experts, within the established software development framework, and demonstrating engineering and problem- solving skills resulting in predictability, consistency, and high quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Champion innovation in UI development including AngularJS/Angular 7, Cesium 3d, integration with other Trimble products
Flexibility with technology stack including AngularJS/Angular 7, React, Vue, Node.Js etc.
Collaboration on solutions with Trimble groups across the globe to accelerate application development
Lead UI engineers in offshore to ensure high code quality that meets standards
Make informed decisions and design user workflows based on the user journey
Collaborate with the UX team on assessing technical feasibility on the proposed solutions
Skills in mobile development to support applications on Android devices is a plus
Shift easily among projects in a variety of size and scope. Easily shift between changing priorities.

Skills & experienced required:
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
3 – 5 years of experience as a professional UI Architect or UI front end developer working on complex interactive projects.
Experience with design or user experience for highly technical products.
Ability to guide complex projects from initial concept to production and post-launch evaluation.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Ability to work proactively, with limited direction, and manage projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment across multiple time zones.
Strong understanding of cognitive psychology principles and UX principles and practices.
Knowledge of a variety of UI frameworks, design systems, component libraries and prototyping tools.
Understanding of C# / .NET Core / Docker would be beneficial
Ability to travel approximately 1 week per quarter, including internationally.
