The company
This successful family-run company make a range of gourmet products for the food industry. They have established themselves as a reputable company here on the North Shore and are now looking for an experienced Supervisor to join their warehousing and production team.
The role
This is a hands-on role that would involve labelling, packing and dispatch of orders, as well as supervising a small team of warehouse staff.
Duties include:
Direct and supervise a small team of warehouse staff
Hands-on labelling, picking and packing of orders
Provide clear communication and direction to the warehouse team
Work alongside the kitchen Supervisor
Assist with weekly production planning and scheduling
Monitoring of inwards goods and computer system work
Ensuring the warehouse area is kept clean and tidy
The Candidate
Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role - leads by example
Proven experience within a warehousing or production environment
Exceptional communication skills, and great leadership qualities
Basic mechanical aptitude
Solid computer skills
Great attitude and work ethic
