Venue and Events Senior Marketing Coordinator Te Turanga | About the roleAre you an experienced marketer with a passion for data and audience development?We're seeking a skilled individual to take on the role of Venue & Events Senior Marketing Coordinator, where you'll play a pivotal role in spotlighting a wide range of our city's events and driving traffic to The Historic Village - our creative, community hub.You'll have a genuine passion for capturing engaging content and thrive on attending events to share experiences with our online audience.You'll be results driven and regularly analyse data to enhance the performance of marketing campaigns.Your responsibilities will include:Developing and delivering marketing campaigns that deliver on Tauranga events and The Historic Village objectives.Analysing performance metrics and optimising our online presence primarily from digital platforms Meta Business and Google Analytics 4.Managing and monitoring social media channels, My Tauranga and The Historic Village.Developing and expanding a database through proactive marketing efforts to increase subscriber numbers as well as producing and sending regular 'what's on' emails.Creating engaging content across various platforms, including coordinating and managing external providers such as videographers, photographers and graphic designers, to ensure seamless execution of projects.Managing budgets and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximise ROI.Undertaking direct marketing initiatives including the distribution of content and collateral to key networks.This role is 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday with occasional evening, weekend & public holiday work required.Nga Pukenga | What you'll need to succeedTo succeed in this role, you'll bring:Tertiary level qualification in Marketing and/or CommunicationsA solid understanding of SEO, SEM and Google Analytics 4.4+ years relevant work experienceExcellent written communication and a great attitude.Tauranga City Council is one of Tauranga's largest employers, and we are always looking to attract great talent to join our driven, passionate, and community-focused team.We always strive to ensure that you feel valued and supported in the workplace.To highlight that our people are our greatest asset, we offer a wide range of benefits that include 5 weeks annual leave, flexible hours and work from home options, as well as career development opportunities.If you want to be part of an energetic, fun, and supportive team, then we'd love to hear from you.
