Your Impact: The Pou Arah (Maori Advisory Lead will shape, guide, and influence the Jacobs development strategy and execution of Maori language and cultural protocols with the objective of embedding Te Ao Maori as the cornerstone to the Jacobs Aotearoa organisation and into everything we do.
Raising the profile and embedding a focus on Te Tiriti, Iwi and all other Maori associated partnerships across our business as an organisational priority both internally and externally. You will lead and nurture our Kaupapa Maori based team that responds to guide project teams and working relationships focussed on Improving Maori outcomes and support our organisation on its journey to cultural awareness and capability.
You will uplift the cultural capability of the organization applying matauranga Maori, maturity modelling and guiding business units, teams, and individuals from across the business on their journey of understanding and adoption of Maori cultural practices.
The Pou Arahi Maori Advisory Lead will orchestrate the evolution of Jacobs Aotearoa policies, procedures, and practices to embed Maori values whilst ensuring that they are both culturally sustainable and business appropriate.
Here's What You'll Need: You are a strategic and inspiring leader with demonstrated experience in successfully working and engaging with iwi, government, community, and public interest groups Demonstrated success in leading the facilitation of key relationships with expertise in stakeholder relationship and engagement with iwi, hapu, whanau, marae and Maori entities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand You hold a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the complexity of Te Tiriti, equity and the challenges Maori face and a high-level competency in Te Reo Maori me ona tikanga Extensive experience in the development of policies in the context of cultural learning and capability development. You have an in-depth Knowledge and expertise in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Iwi partnerships in both national and regional affairs in both a historical and contemporary setting You are a motivated individual who proactively identifies potential obstacles and implements solutions, ensuring adherence to established deadlines.
