The Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) - ICU at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hutt Valley, Lower Hutt Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley DistrictService: Intensive Care UnitContract: Permanent part time and full time positions availableWe are looking for a flexible, dynamic and motivated Registered Nurse who is interested in taking the next step into a leadership role is required to join the expanding Intensive Care Unit team at Hutt Hospital.The Associate Clinical Nurse Manager (ACNM) is a supportive role to the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) with responsibility for the day-to-day clinical coordination of the nursing team to ensure the provision of high quality health care for the patients in the Intensive Care and High Dependency Care Unit.This position enables an effective practice environment through providing clinical and professional nursing leadership, coaching and supervision as required. The position involves strong clinical leadership and the use of expert knowledge and skills in the management of patients to ensure that clinical practice is of a consistent standard and to enable staff to advocate for patients of the service. The role involves providing direct patient care as required and management of all ICU equipment. The ACNM has ongoing delegated responsibility for aspects of the CNM role.Here at the Hutt District we have a strong commitment to nursing education and excellence in patient care. We actively encourage ongoing professional development including post-graduate study and PDRP recognition.Our team delivers acute life support to critically ill patients and as a Regional Burns and Plastics centre we support post-operative major reconstructive surgery. We support high acuity patients of all ages. The ICU is committed to the provision of excellent and appropriate care within a multidisciplinary team. The service will support openness, honesty, communication and the dynamic professional development of all team members.This is an exciting time to join the team as we are currently moving into an expansion of our services so looking for a forward thinking, team player to join us on this journey and support the team in moving towards new things.The successful applicant will have an extensive nursing knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and ideally have held a leadership or management role. They must hold a New Zealand Registered Nurse practising certificate.You will have a passion for nursing and a drive to provide excellent patient care by leading and supporting the developmentof the ICU team.
