About this Role:
This is an important leadership role in the IT Team and will be taking direct responsibility for the release pipeline. This role will involve planning, coordinating, and the organising of technical processes to deliver Products and Services with a focus on release management. The responsibilities of this role also include overseeing IT operations, with line management of both the Engineering and Helpdesk Team Leads.
Responsibilities:
Release Management:
Planning the co-ordination and scheduling for Products and Services including Infrastructure Hardware and Services and Applications Software and Services
Planning the overall release lifecycle and release windows
Recognising risks and managing any affect they may have on the scope of a release
Communicating project plans, commitments, and any changes in requirements between different teams
Managing Helpdesk and Engineering Team leaders
Relationship management across projects and between different teams as you coordinate projects
Technical Operations Management:
Assist with the forward planning of resource requirements
Managing Assets, including onsite hardware and working with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to keep this up to date.
Assist with project management for the Infrastructure provisioning, including New Sites setup and relocations of IT Services and Products.
Understanding of resource limitations and optimisation of operations within the environment.
Required Skills and Experience
5+ years of IT experience with 2-3+ years' experience with Change & Release Management.
Technical experience and thorough understanding of IT architecture and delivery challenges.
In-depth knowledge of Release Management best practices and IT change management, procedures, and processes.
Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with cross-functional partners to achieve Release Management goals
Experience Operating in a DevOps environment
Strong Team Management skills
Advantageous Experience:
Experience in the Microsoft stack
