Teacher Aide

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher Aide to join our Learning Support team for Term 2 2024 (subject to the successful return of a police vetting check) to support a student with high and complex needs in their transition to our kura.
This position will suit someone who is able to work with and support an individual student. The ideal candidate will have experience of secondary education, teaching and learning processes, and willwork with an individual student across a range of subjects including Science and Maths, supporting their learning, responding to individual needs and liaising with teachers.Patience, a sense of humour, adaptability and the ability to form relationships quickly are essential.
Experience of working with students with learning needs is advantageous. Experience of working with students with ADHD, specific learning needs and autistic spectrum conditions is desirable.
This position is for 28 hours per week and is a short-term, fixed-term appointment until 5 July 2024.
