About the opportunity This is a truly unique and exciting opportunity to join Clare and lead strategy development with a specific women focus area. Day to day, this role will engage with relevant organisations to understand their strategies for improving lives of women, making recommendations and decisions around opportunities for funding. You'll also work collaboratively with other philanthropic funders, local and central government, and funding partners for greater social impact. Keeping up to date with current issues, ideas, and trends will be important, and you will pro-actively keep across issues that are affecting wahine in Aotearoa New Zealand. Joining three other Strategic Funding Leads, you'll also be part of the team contributing to our overall team culture and ways of working. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring: Knowledge, experience and understanding of the issues facing women in Aotearoa Experience working in an area which focusses on these issues Existing networks in this sector within NFPs, Government and Iwi, or an ability to build these relationships Knowledge and experience navigating the key issues related to social change and systems change. Empathy, humility, understanding, and sensitivity towards others Exceptional communication skills with an ability to understand a lot of information and quickly cut to the chase An ability to think critically, ask questions, and continuously learn A high level of cultural competence and a commitment to Te Tiriti An inclusive approach, always looking for who's voice isn't being heard A drive and passion for making change and improving the lives of our next generation.
