It's about enjoying coming to work every day, feeling challenged, trusted and supported, whilst enjoying living in a region that has a lifestyle unrivalled in New Zealand.About the roleThe Speciality Clinical Nurse works with a specified patient/turoro/tangata whai ora group providing assessment, nursing care, clinical interventions and education in a specific area of specialty practice.As a Senior Nurse, you will also have the responsibility for improving the quality of professional nursing practice and safeguarding high standards of care in Northland-Te Tai Tokerau by supporting an environment in which excellence in clinical care can flourish. This is a rewarding role to make a difference in the community.The role is permanent, part time working 32 hours a week.Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.Required skills/experienceYou will be a Registered Nurse with a positive and professional approach, skilled at relating to and building rapport with others and working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.Current practicing certificate with the Nursing Council of New ZealandA current Expert Registered Nurse; Professional Development & Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio.Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principlesA commitment to biculturalismPostgraduate certificate/diploma in speciality nursing practice (desirable)This is an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth of a dynamic service and be part of a wider team who are enthusiastic, dedicated and supportive.
