Specialty Clinical Nurse – Kaitaia HospitalPre-Operative Assessment Clinic – Outpatient Department, Kaitaia Hospital Full time 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week on a fixed Term basis, covering maternity leave until April 2025. The role: Are you an experienced surgical nurse who is passionate about ensuring the safe and smooth running of pre-admission clinic within the Kaitaia Hospital outpatient clinic? We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated NZ Registered Nurse who is looking to step up to a senior nursing role.
This role involves the coordination of review for all relevant clinicians for pre-admission assessments during allocated appointment times. While also ensuring the delivery of an effective, appropriate, and personalised pre-admission service to all elective surgery clients.
Primary functions include:
Provide the individualised treatment of patients in NorthlandBe accountable for the delivery of clinical skills, in a safe and appropriate manner, to the highest quality possibleEnsure the patients legal, privacy and confidentiality rights are known and understood by the clients.Knowledge and skills development is ongoing and up to date with current trendsTe Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.
About you: To be eligible to apply you will be a Registered Nurse with a positive and professional approach, well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to teach, meeting educational needs of patients and staff.
