This job offer is not available in your country.Key Roles and Responsibilities :Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities to up sell logistics and supply chain solutions and to track other opportunities that may emergeContribute to pre-sales processes and provide information that enables the decision-making process related to the effort required to deliver and generally providing advice on the most optimal way to approach the clientPlan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required material purchasesObtain and / or purchase materials using schedules to maintain inventory at planned levelsCreate and maintain bill of materialsEnsure materials standard are met and variances are approved and / or minimisedIdentify opportunities for growth within the assigned portfolio and work closely with the pre-sales and sales team to maximise opportunitiesMonitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best valueMaintain an awareness of the competitive landscape for assigned portfoliosCollaborate with the sales teams they assist with the development of strategies to ensure account retentionStay abreast of changes in the market and recommend improvements to solutions offerings to meet client demandUse probing questions and a conversational approach to explore and uncover the client's needsPersonalise the recommended solution in line with the client's needDemonstrate capability (features, advantages and benefits) at a detailed levelOffer unique perspectives and align insights to key client prioritiesConvince clients to choose to do business with NTT, by pre-empting stakeholder objections and pushing the client to a favorable outcomeAim to generate revenue and exploit opportunities, whilst displaying notable client service orientationWork closely with vendors to understand their strategies for solutions and services and articulate the roadmap and associated impacts for clientsDevelop procedures and systems for commercial logistics and supply chain projectsReview draft commercial demands and develop project plans to ensure commercial readinessAct as the point of escalation for the clientEnsure that a culture of service management excellence is developed and maintained by the logistics and supply chain team.Ensure the identification of risks to supply chain deliveryDrive the implementation of the appropriate solutions to reduce the likelihood of escalations and / or delivery impact to the clientContribute to the implementation of supply chain delivery model improvements focused on optimisations that will be valuable to the client and NTTWork closely with the Vendor management team to ensure vendors are reviewed and established in line with client operational and SLA requirementsDrive the buying process by dealing with complex transaction and by contributing to the administration and management of the processInteract and communicate with vendors to gather information and to negotiate certain actionsKnowledge, skills and attributes :Ability to establish working relationships based on collaboration, trust, and open communicationAbility to encourage co-innovation and service improvement with suppliersAbility proactively engage suppliers for mutual benefit to resolve operational incidents, problems, poor performance and other sources of conflictAbility to implement supplier management practices to support cloud-based servicesAbility to implement clear escalation paths for discussing and resolving issuesKnowledge of relevant legislation to ensure complianceKnowledge of commercial governance and supply chain management practices, practices and trendsAbility to manage risks associated with security, continuity, and integrity of supplyAbility to implement policies for selection of suppliers and bench-marking supplier performanceAbility to benchmark supplier performanceKnowledge of placing, monitoring and terminating contractsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate excellent attention to detailWell-developed leadership skills and have good strategic thinking abilityDisplay excellent interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and ost breakdownAbility to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvementsAcademic Qualifications and Certifications :Degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Business Management, or similarCertified Supply Chain ProfessionalExperience required :Solid experience in in direct buying role.Experience managing performance and risks across multiple suppliers (internal and external) using a set of agreed metricsPrevious experience working in a purchasing team in a similar industryExperience working closely with third parties and / or suppliersWhat will make you a good fit for the role?
