Our innovative Herbert Smith Freehills Alternative Legal Services (ALT) group is currently seeking a Solicitor to join our growing Disputes practice on a full-time permanent basis. You will be based at our ALT hub at 600 St Kilda Road, Melbourne.
As a qualified Solicitor in our ALT team, your key responsibilities will include supervising, mentoring and quality reviewing the work of our team of bright legal analysts on document and information-intensive aspects of Disputes matters. You will also be responsible for assisting on the more legally complex aspects of work the ALT Disputes team undertakes including on document review exercises, post-document review support, claims assessment and supporting clients directly.

Skills and experience:
Qualified/admitted legal practitioner in Victoria with an unrestricted practising certificate.
2+ years of legal experience, ideally with a minimum 6 months in dispute resolution / litigation
Strong foundational legal skills, including drafting, writing, negotiating and project management.
Strong leadership and communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and effective time management skills are also required to be effective in this role.
