Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications) An opportunity to work with New Zealand's award-winning public media company. Social Media is key to RNZ's audience growth and providing new and exciting ways to deliver outstanding public media that matters. We're investing in new ways to tell stories and connect with audiences, and you'll be at the forefront of that growth.  You'll lead a team of engaged social media journalists and content producers, and be a champion for social media strategy and audience growth across the organisation. You will be collaborating with all parts of RNZ, and be encouraging them to innovate and maximise the use of social media across the organisation.  Te Mahi – About the job Be a champion for RNZ's great content on social media, video, and other platforms, off RNZ's own broadcast and digital channels.  You'll work with your team and other editorial leaders to establish a vision for curating and creating storytelling across different platforms, and you will be responsible for understanding and developing new strategies, tools and workflows as those platforms evolve.  You'll be a great people leader and direct the day-to-day management of RNZ social media platforms and other platforms (including but not limited to, Facebook, instagram, TikTok, Spotify, Voice Apps etc.), driving audience engagement and contributing to audience growth.  You'll have a great understanding of audiences and content, and the relationship between them. A tertiary qualification on Journalism is desirable.  Proven achievement and credibility as a journalist who sets and achieves high professional standards. Demonstratable experience or knowledge of developing and implementing community engagement through one or more social media platforms. Ability to manage and lead a team, build loyalty, commitment, trust and pride, influence others and create a respectful work environment fostering innovation and fun.
