Service Manager - Adult Disability Services Management (Community Services & Development)Community Living provides a range of services to people with intellectual disabilities, embraces a person centred approach. Our aim is to maximise the independence and quality of life for people we support while building and developing partnerships with whanau/families and communities.About the roleWe're looking for an inspirational, experienced people manager who can lead, inspire and manage a team of support staff in a range of services, who deliver quality supports to the people we work for. Your ability to listen, connect, collaborate, communicate and influence will be critical. You will need to display attributes of tolerance, empathy, trustworthiness, confidence and kindness.In successfully leading the teams, the manager will effectively manage workload and resourcing requirements, work within budgets, develop strong connections and networks within the sector, assess and manage risk proactively, and be able to undertake complex and/or sensitive tasks.A can-do attitude and hands-on approach, with the resilience and tenacity to work positively within a changing environment, are vital to ensuring success as a Service Manager. You will need a high level of interpersonal and negotiation skills, combined with a coaching and consultative approach to leadership. You lead the professional growth of teams of support staff therefore a strong respect for others coupled with an open and engaging attitude is important.Have strong staff management and people leadership experienceA relevant tertiary qualification or equivalentHold a full, clean NZ driver's licenceBe able to satisfactorily pass Police checksFantastic communicator with a great attitude and able to motivate peopleStrong computer skills and demonstrated ability to use web based systemsThe ability to follow clear directions, organise priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlinesShow success in achieving results, outcomes and making improvementsUnderstanding and upholding the Articles and Principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and awareness of New Zealand as a multi-cultural societyHighly Desirable requirementsExperience within the disability sector or lived disabilityDemonstrated experience of developing positive support strategies for people with communication, behavioural and/or medical needsProfessional experience within a registered health background with APC (i.e. Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing)What we have to offerPart time – 30 hours per weekBased in TaurangaAn appropriate package for the successful candidate based on skills and experience will be negotiatedA range of other staff benefits including professional development, flexibility, life insurance, employee discount programs, and a diverse working environmentIf this sounds like you, click ' apply for this job ' to submit both your cover letter and CV/Resume.
