This is a once in a generation opportunity to be involved in MSD's multi-year transformation journey.The Senior Project Manager holds a central role in the Te Pae Tawhiti transformation programme, a multi-year endeavour. Their primary duty is to harmonise individual delivery plans into a comprehensive integrated and managed delivery plan for the entire programme. They navigate between agile technology projects, traditional waterfall approaches, and hybrid methods.Building relationships is key; they'll work closely with Senior Leaders, Vendors, Business Experts, and Delivery Leads, ensuring effective communication across the board. By leveraging project management expertise, they ensure on-time delivery, quality adherence, and budget management. Furthermore, they'll be proactive in risk identification, mitigation, and in aligning the project's trajectory with its intended outcomes.As a member of the Te Pae Tawhiti programme management team, they will unite with vendors and partners to craft integrated solutions, underscoring the program's holistic approach.We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and experience:Over 10 years in a Senior Project Management role, preferably within the public service sector, and at least 5 years in large-scale transformation projects that drive both business and technological results.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to relay messages to all stakeholders, from executive levels to project team members, paired with strong relationship-building and collaborative capabilities.Familiarity with diverse project methodologies, boasting a PMI qualification and experience in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches.A strategic mindset: the ability to understand the overarching strategy, view the "big picture", and demonstrate leadership in coordinating multiple projects.Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and other Microsoft Office applications, alongside a keen financial acumen to interpret data and back recommendations.Comprehensive understanding of MSD, its client needs and its services, with sound commercial expertise, especially in vendor management.Proven analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
