This is mahi that will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe primary purpose of the Senior Procurement Specalist role is to lead a range of procurement functions including the development and execution of procurement strategies for the relevant categories and sub-categories. In this role you will be tasked with developing sourcing plans that manage probity and reflect the category goals. You will manage national, regional and local procurement sourcing activities including: exemption management, procurement plans development, RFx processes, collaborative procurement, and/or secondary procurement processes.This particular opportunity is based in our Outsourced Clinical Services (Surgical, Radiology, Ophthalmology and Endoscopy as main activities) team supporting our Northern and Te Manawa Taki regions.You are a competent and experienced procurement professional looking to take the next step in your career. You are comfortable dealing with complex commercial environments and categories and can bring your knowledge and experience to bear on difficult problems. A background or experience in healthcare and/or Government work environments is strongly preferred.Commercial or procurement experience 5+ yearsExperience with Government Rules of SourcingProven negotiation and contract management experience 5+ yearsExtensive experience with total cost of ownership / whole of life costing modelExtensive experience in management of complex multi-stakeholder portfoliosIn depth knowledge of end to end procurement practiceA commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
